Memorials to
our loved ones |
(Grandmother) Mrs. Alosia Boutte was born November 8, 1913, and died Monday,
March 14, 2005. She was married to Luke Boutte for
forty-six years, before his death. They were
blessed with eleven children. Mom leaves
behind five daughters, one son, twenty-seven
grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, one
great-great-grandchild, and one sister.
Alosia, or simply known as “Mom” to many, was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, great, great-great-grandmother, aunt and
cousin. She devoted her life to the care of her family. She
gave them love, and like a mother’s love, there’s no stronger
bond on earth…. Good-bye our darling Mom.

We called her "Da" and she was my Aunt. Da took
care of Ivy and Ray as babies. Such a caring hand. She
helped us all so much. |

My special
thoughts about
our loved ones. |
As people come and go into
our lives, they leave a mark in our heart. A special
something only you will remember about them. Cherish
those thoughts, for deep inside, they helped to make us
who are are.
We have a large family and close community. With that
comes heartache when we lose someone. Those times are so
very hard, and we wonder how and if we can get through
it. We do, and its by nothing less than faith and
the power of God. Love and cherish your family and
friends. Tina

Aunt Lucy - well let's say
she was quite feisty - loved to talk and she reminded us
of Dr. Ruth. Her favorite word "sha."

Uncle
Alton Frilot
Died: May 5, 2007 |
Wow - Uncle lived to 100!
He once said when asked by his nephews if they would
live that long since it was in their genes?? He replied,
"No, because now people live by time." In other words,
slow down, enjoy life.

Hey Dale, full of life.
He just moved back to Grand Marais after living in
Houston when he got sick. Growing up, I remember his mom
Elaine yelling at him ...."Dale and a few other choice
words."

Mr. Lambert, my friend.
When he needed something notarized, I wouldn't take his
money, but he always brought me something... Fresh
vegetables, peeled pecans, peeled shrimp. Miss
that.

always doing something mischievous. So much fun.

Brody was here with us for such a short
time. No doubt during that time he touched many people
and left his mark. Never a shy young man, especially
considering all he was dealing with. As he
stated...
"I fought a good fight,
I ran a good race,
I kept the faith." Rest in peace sweet one.

Leroy Boutte
Died: March 15, 2010
Age: 74 |
Leroy and his wife Wilda lived next to my
grandmother. Growing up, we would always go over
there, they enjoyed children and he surely loved his
grandchildren.

Victor Jeanminette
Died: April 30, 2010
Age: 69 |
I always though Vic was the coolest.
He was tall and on the large size, but walked with
swagger. Businessman in our community, he even did
some fence work at the airport where I worked.
