With all the information I
had to gather to put this web site together, this section
is the hardest.
For those who don't know, I was diagnosed with breast
cancer in 2000, at the age of 44. It's nothing you get use
to, but instead, feel blessed for your life.
This is a struggle I wish no one has to endure, but as we
realize the statistics, it continues to happen far too
often. Sadly, with more devastating effects in the
black community.
Never think you are immuned. This disease knows no
boundaries. Instead my friends, be proactive, and
get checked.
Being told I have breast cancer has been the most
frightening words I have ever heard. I won't lie, I
wish I didn't. So now I have to learn to trust in
God, he is in control, and I, like millions others, will
continue to "pray for a cure."
